The Aprilaire 261 Space-Guard Replacement Commercial Filter Media can last between six months to two years. If the Aprilaire 261 Space-Guard Replacement Commercial Filter Media is installed on a five ton system in the presence of high concentration of particulate, or the furnace fan is on constantly the filter media may need to be replaced more frequently. The life of the Aprilaire 261 Space-Guard Replacement Commercial Filter Media depends on the volume of air being moved through it and the amount of particulate being filtered.
