About The Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat

Aprilaire has been providing top of the line humidifiers and humidistats for over 60 years now. The Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat is designed to be used with low voltage service to offer control of your humidification equipment, and is made to be used with the Aprilaire humidifier model 500. The indoor humidity should be set to match the outdoor temperature to prevent water from running down the sides of your windows. Typically cold air will condense against the window, but with the Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat this will not happen. When there is an increase in relative humidity the nylon ribbon in the Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat will expand which in turn opens the control switch that will stop the operation of your humidifier. When the relative humidity reverses the Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat will close the control switch. The Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat can either be wall-mounted or mounted on the return plenum. The Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat includes a plenum cutout template that measures 4 5/32" x 2 7/16". For duct mounting the Aprilaire 4655 Manual Digital Control Humidistat should be placed at least six inches upstream from the humidifier, humidifier bypass ductwork or fresh air intake ductwork.
