About The Aprilaire 500M 24V Manual Bypass Whole-House Humidifier

The Aprilaire 500M 24V Manual Bypass Whole-House Humidifier is an economical unit that is designed for use in smaller homes. Designed with ease of service in mind, the Aprilaire 500M 24V Manual Bypass Whole-House Humidifier replaces Aprilaire 550 and features a manual humidistat. The Aprilaire 500M 24V Manual Bypass Whole-House Humidifier has an evaporative capacity of 1/2 a gallon per hour and can handle a home that is up to 3,000 square feet if tightly constructed. The Aprilaire 500M 24V Manual Bypass Whole-House Humidifier also has the smallest "footprint" of the long line of Aprilaire humidifiers, and requires a plenum opening of only 9.5" x 9.5".

Maintaining Your Humidifier

To increase the benefit of your humidifier, you should replace the water panel evaporator in your humidifier at least once a year. If you reside in a drier climate or if you have high levels of hard water in your system, you may need to change the filter more often. The “Change Water Panel” indicator light will blink to tell you when you need to change the filter.

Product must be installed by a qualified heating and air conditioning contractor. Failure to do so could result in serious injury from electrical shock and voids warranty due to possible product misapplication.
