Product Information:The EL1499R Mini housing makes an excellent choice for fixtures and space savers. The Integral Thermal Protection guards against misuse of insulation materials and improper lamping. The Integral magnetic transformer steps line voltage down to lamp operating voltage. Integral flange secures housing against ceiling. The Remodel housing can be easily installed. It fits inside of the ceiling through a hole no bigger than the actual fixture itself, and takes minimal work to remove. Junction box listed for 90 degree supply wire. 6 1/2 inch height allows use in 2 x 8 inch construction. Four remodel clips secure housing and accommodate various ceiling thickness.
