The EL7IC100A Double Wall housing is a thermally protected fixture that may be installed in direct contact with ceiling insulation. The Double Wall is combined of 2 walls encompassed into 1 housing. It protects the insulation from the direct heating of the inner wall, creating a fire safe form of housing. This New Construction housing is installed on the joist of the truss framing, and is a more permanent style of lighting. The integral thermal protector guards against improper lamping. Can this housing be used with Cree 6" led bulb?

They should. The LR6 has small clips which help to hold the module in the housing securely into the housing.
