Description

About the Fantech FG 10 Inline Exhaust Fan, 513 CFM, Centrifugal - for 10" Duct

The Fantech FX Series inline centrifugal fans are constructed of a high grade galvanized steel with a curved wheel impeller design for maximum air flow at a low noise level. The solid construction makes the Fantech FG 10 a great solution to adding or upgrading ventilation in your home. The most common uses for the Fantech FG 10 are venting kitchen range hoods, bathroom exhausts, duct air boosting, and commercial dryer or steam exhaust. The FG 10 can work in conjunction with HVAC systems to add increased air flow and power. For commercial applications, the Fantech FG 10 is great for air circulation and central AC systems. The Fantech FG 10 comes pre-wired with mounting bracket and hardware providing an easier installation and hassle free maintenance. The FG 10 can be mounted in any orientation based on the duct connection direction.  It is not recommended to use the this fan for outdoor uses.

Questions & Answers

I recently bought a FANTECH FX10 for use as a kitchen exhaust. Question 1: Can this fan be installed with a variable speed switch (dimmer)? Question 2: Does it decrease perfomance to reduce to a 7" roof vent?

by Luke W. on 10-04-2012

The reduction in vent size will cause some restriction of air flow (up to 10-20%). You can adjust the speed easily using a Varispee dunit from Fantech which is directly wired to the fan, or to your fan circuit.
