Description

About the Fantech RVF6 242 CFM Wall-Mount Exterior Centrifugal Fan for 6" Duct

The Fantech RVF Series of fans are the right solution to free up interior space where ducting typically is installed, while also adding a single point exhaust system. The Fantech RVF6 is a 6” exterior duct fan that is installed externally, so that it does not take up wanted duct space. The whisper quiet operation keeps interior noise levels down. When mounting the RVF6, you will notice the extremely lightweight nature of the item, as it is designed to be mounted easily. Installation is easily, just mount the fan toany wall or flat surface and connect the included power supply. The fan will provide many years of quiet operation without taking up space in recessed areas.

Questions & Answers

I am trying to determine which Fantech would be suited for my application. I am trying to exhaust a small cooking unit (installed in the countertop) of a new kitchen through an exterior wall. I plan to hide any necessary ducting inside the wall cabinet. I know there may be many variables but how many CFMs do you think I need? I was leaning toward the 6" / 242CFM - Model RVF6.

The CFM rating would be based on how much venting you will need. 242 CFM will completely cycle the air in a 4'Lx6'Wx10'T area per minute. This will work for basic ventilation in most cases, however, if this is the only ventilation available for this area of your home, you may consider a more powerful fan.
