About the First Alert PIR725 Motion Sensor, Screw-In Light Socket

The First Alert PIR725 Motion Sensor, Screw-In Light Socket turns on the lights whenever you enter your laundry room, basement, closet, or garage and then turns the lights off once you have left. It’s a great solution for you to safely enter rooms that are well lit, but only when you need them to be!

In addition, the First Alert PIR725 Motion Sensor, Screw-In Light Socket features a hands-free sensor, which screws directly into any existing standard light socket. This makes it easy to use, just like any other type of light bulb. Please note, however, that this unit should not be used with covered fixtures.

The First Alert PIR725 Motion Sensor, Screw-In Light Socket also saves you on electricity, as it only provides light when you really need it. It can sense movement from all different directions, and has a radius of 360 degrees and 12 feet around.

Questions & Answers

I have had this product for several years now, however the light does not turn off and I have to do it manually. Is there a fix for this?

by Diane W. on 02-18-2015

It sounds like your First Alert PIR725 motion sensor is no longer working. There is a warranty on this item for 3 years directly through First Alert. If it is older than that, we would advise purchasing a new one.
