The Gerber Knives 6995 Silver Trident Double Serration Edge Knife features the most technically innovative handle ever created for a combat knife. The handle is resistant to UV light, heat, and chemicals. The creation of Chief Watson and William Harsey Jr. the handle features a co-mold of two types of material called Hytrel&reg. On the inside of the handle is a rock-hard version to enhance strength. On the outside there is a soft, textured version for maximum gripping power and control. The stainless steel butt cap of the Gerber Knives 6995 Silver Trident Double Serration Edge Knife can be used as a hammer. The double-edged clip point blade of the Gerber Knives 6995 Silver Trident Double Serration Edge Knife is crafted of 154C stainless steel, and is heat-treated to acquire a hardness rating of HRC 59-61. This means the Gerber Knives 6995 Silver Trident Double Serration Edge Knife gives you edge retention, flexibility, and strength. The non-reflective black coating on the blade reduces corrosion and glare. The Gerber Knives 6995 Silver Trident Double Serration Edge Knife also comes with a ballistic nylon sheath for carrying and protection of the knife from weather. The measurements are: length 11.22 inches, blade length 6.18 inches, weight 17.4 ounces.
