About the Halo H99RTAT 4" AIR-TITE, Non-IC Shallow Recessed Remodel Housing

The Halo H99RTAT is small aperture, non-IC rated, recessed housing. The H99RTAT's compact size makes it perfect for accent and task lighting applications. This recessed housing is designed for use in non-insulated ceilings. The Halo H99RTAT features AIR-TITE technology which does not leak air into attic or ceiling spaces, preventing losses in air-flow caused by recessed housings. For use with incandescent lamps, the H99RTAT is sized at 4". This remodel housing is set for under-ceiling installation and should be installed 3 inches away on all sides of the housing from any insulation. For causes of failure or fires through improper lamping or misapplied insulation, a thermal protector is integrated within the H99RTAT to deactivate the housing. The H99RTAT is also suitable for usage in wet and damp locations. 

Constructed from CRS, the H99RTAT features rust and corrosion resistant attributes. Four remodel clips are included with the remodel housing to accomodate 1/2" and 5/8" ceiling thicknesses. For fast and easy installation, three quick connect wiring connectors are included. A junction box with (7) 1/2" trade size conduit knockouts with true pry-out slots and (4) pryouts with integral strain relief for non-metallic sheathed cable is built-in with the Halo H99RTAT. The overall dimensions measure in 4-5/8" x 11 7/8".

Halo offers a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty on the H99RTAT housing. UL/cUL listed for 1598 Luminaire, Wet Location, Damp Location. Certified under ASTM-E283 for air tight construction. IP rated for Improper Lamp
