Questions & Answers

I want to know if the spider gasket you sell is original replacement equipment. The last one I bought from another store was thinner and weaker than the original one. While it is easy to remover the rubber or silicon based glue that holds these gaskets in place, the glue does not help a thinner, weaker gasket survive normal use during one season. If you have had problems with your gaskets leaking into the backwash, it may be that yours are not original replacement parts and professional pool contractors will also have problems with them. Please check before I order, Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this is a genuine Hayward brand name product.

How do you remove the old spider gasket on Hayward Model# sp715 as it seems to be glued or stuck. Water is seepingout of backwash drain while in filter position

We recommed all pool repairs and installation be done by a professional pool contractor, as self-installations can result in mal-functioning equipment, leaks, and additional damage. If you are unsure of the details of your repair, a visual inspection should be done to properly evaluate the problem (as all pool applications can vary drastically, and a visual inspection is typically required).
