The Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater is a low-cost, highly effective way to heat large room in your home.  Ideal placement of the Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater is under a window for maximum efficiency.  By placing the heater below a window the cold air from the window falls towards the ground pushing the heat up and across the room.  By being a convection style heater the Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater operates silently making it ideal for any room in the house, but it is really great for the bedroom because there is no noisy fan to interrupt your sleep at night.  A wall-mount thermostat is ideal for maximizing the performance of the baseboard heater, or you can use a field mount thermostat for convenience.

When installing the Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater you should place it one foot away from furniture and any other items in the room.  The Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater should not be located closer that one foot below any wall hanging items such as drapes, curtains, or pictures.  The Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater should also be installed away from electrical outlets.

A general room of thumb when selecting a Cadet heater for any room in your home is 5 watts of power per square foot for more modern homes, and for homes that were built before 1980 you will need 10 watts per square foot.  The Cadet 8F2000W 8 Ft. 2000W Electric Baseboard Heater is ideal for rooms up to 400 square feet (modern) and 200 square feet (Pre 1980).
