Ductless Air Conditioning

About Ductless Air Conditioning
For the homes without the previous duct-work done, air conditioning can be a hassle of an installation. At Westside Wholesale, we offer alternatives to air conditioning by featuring A/C systems that are ductless. These systems require no duct work and are easily installed with the coupling of an outdoor compressor and refrigerant lines. Because these air conditioners do not require ducts, it gives the ability to control various temperatures in different rooms without the costly effect of cooling the entire house. These units can be easily attached to one another and can be interconnected with one central compressor.
Westside Wholesale offers a variety of ductless air conditioning products by popular brands such as Diversitech and LG. With our competitive pricing, the right air conditioning solution is readily available for your needs.

How to Select
How to Select a Ductless Air Conditioner
Ductless Air Conditioning is a new innovative way to get conditioned air without requiring a large AC unit installed inside your home. Ductless Air Conditioners can be installed outdoors, while a smaller indoor unit can be mounted to distribute the conditioned air. Therefore, ductless systems are split systems which have 2 main parts; a outdoor condenser, and an indoor blower. When purchasing the units, you can purchase them as a set, or you can choose to customize your installation by choosing the condenser and indoor fan separately.
When selecting the proper Ductless AC unit for your home, consider the following:
Mounting Options:
- Ceiling Mount: These indoor units connect to the outdoor condenser and mount on the ceiling to evenly distribute air. These are beneficial when the sun’s heat needs cooling on your ceiling. A Ductless Ceiling unit will dispense cool air along the ceiling which drops over the surrounding area, cooling it from above.
- Wall Mount: Wall mounted units are the most common ductless units, which mount directly into your wall indoors. They will distribute conditioned air through the room and often have a swing function to move the air more readily.
- Floor Mount: Floor Mounted air conditioners typical stand vertically and are mounted to the floor for stability. These units will distribute air at body height.
BTU:
- The BTU rating signifies the output force. An AC unit with a high BTU rating will be able to cover a larger surface area in a shorter amount of time.
- BTU Calculations:
- 100-150 sq ft = 8,500-10,000 BTU
- 150-250 sq ft = 10,000-12,000 BTU
- 250-550 sq ft = 12,000-17,000 BTU
- 550-1000 sq ft = 17,000-25,000 BTU
