About The Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer with Freeze Protection with Plastic Case
The Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer combines digital automation with the compact T-100 Series mechanical time switches. The Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer features the ability to program up to three circuits. In addition to the standard two-speed pump/booster pump applications, there are also auxiliary modes that can control pumps up to 3HP and underwater lights, garden lights or fountain lights. The Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer also has countdown and override features that allow cycle interruptions when service is required on your pool or spa. The timing and protection that is associated with filter pump/booster pump combos and two-speed pumps has been integrated directly into the digital software. The Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is incased in an outdoor grade plastic enclosure with a Freeze Probe to protect your pool or spa from the dangers of frost. There are 6 different modes of operation with the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer. Each different mode will allow you to control any different combination of items within the system. Mode 1 of the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is Aux 1, Aux 2, Aux 3. In this mode the 3 single pole circuits are defined generically, within this mode each individual circuit can control any load. Mode 2 of the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is Pump High, Pump Low, Aux 3. In this mode circuits 1 & 2 are dedicated single pole outputs for the application of a two-speed pump load. Circuits 1 & 2 are never on at the same time in this mode, this is consistent of two-pump applications. Circuit 3 is completely independent of circuits 1 & 2 and is set for generic loads. Mode 3 of the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is Pump, Aux 2, Cleaner Pump. In this mode circuits 1 & 3 are dedicated outputs for a single speed pump that works with a pressure side cleaner pump. Circuit 3 will not come on unless circuit 1 has been on for at least one minute. Circuit 2 is independent of circuits 1 & 3, and works with a general load. Mode 4 of the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is Pump High, Pump Low, Cleaner Pump. In this mode circuits 1 & 2 are both dedicated to a two speed pump. Circuits 1 & 2 are never on at the same time in this mode. Circuit 3 is dedicated to the pressure side cleaner. Circuit 3 will never come on in this mode unless circuit one has been active for at least one minute. Mode 5 of the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is Pump, Pump, Aux 3. In this mode both circuits 1 & 2 are combined to create one circuit that is capable of switching the power source to a single pump. The on/off feature of circuit 1 controls the on/off switch of both circuits in this mode. Circuit 3 is completely independent of circuits 1 & 2 and is used for general loads. Mode 6 of the Intermatic PE153PF Digital Pool Timer is Aux 1, Aux 2, Aux 3. Mode 6 is the same as Mode 1 with the only difference being the fireman switch only closes when circuit 1 is manually turned on, and not when circuit 1 is turned on by the clock.

Does this unit have a battery back-up so that the clock does not lose time in a power outage?by Craig M. on 06-23-2012
Yes, according to Intermatic, the Intermatic PE153PF has an internal backup battery that will maintain operations for up to 8 hours until power is restored. The programming can be stored in the computer memory for up to 40 years.on 06-25-2012Please login or register before adding a question.
