There is a large paddle style switch that is used for turning your lights on and off, and while your lights are on you can use the slide control on the side to dim control the light levels and set them to your desired amount of light.
The Lutron DVSCELV-300P-BI Dimmer Switch, 300W 1-Pole Diva Satin Colors Light Dimmer - Biscuit also has a locator light that glows softly when the lights are off to make it easy to find the switch in the dark. By dimming your lights by just 50% you can get your bulbs to last 10 times longer as well as cut the energy used to light the room by 40%. The Lutron DVSCELV-300P-BI is simple to install and will only take about 15 minutes. To complete the look add the coordinating wall plate to the Lutron DVSCELV-300P-BI ( sold separately).
