The Lutron MIR-600M-SI 600W Maestro IR Dimmer is among the new generation of dimmers that have come to be known as "smart dimmers". These new generations of dimmers have been given this name due to the advanced technology that has been incorporated into such a small device. To turn your lights on to your favorite light setting just tap the main switch once and to bring the lights to their full illumination tap the switch twice. The Lutron MIR-600M-SI 600W Maestro IR Dimmer is a beautiful switch that adds to the beauty of any room and when you add the coordinating Lutron Claro wallplate the gorgeous appearance is completed (wallplate sold separately). To take control of the level of lighting within the room there is a rocker switch on the side that allows you to quickly and accurately select the level of lighting you desire. The fade-to-off feature dims the lights slowly as if you were in a theatre giving you light while exiting the room. Along the side of the Lutron MIR-600M-SI 600W Maestro IR Dimmer are LED indicator lights that let you know the current level of lighting in the room, and when the lights are off they glow softly making the switch easy to find in the dark. The FASS service switch of the Lutron MIR-600M-SI 600W Maestro IR Dimmer makes removing the power to the main switch a breeze without having to remove the dimmer from the wall.
