The Lutron SPS-300LDH-RP is a plug-in lamp dimmer that offers a simple and convenient alternative to in-wall dimmers. This unit is an idea solution to renters who are not permitted to modify the wiring in their apartment or for those who prefer to avoid the hassle of a permanent in-wall installation. This plug-in dimmer installs in seconds, requiring only a standard electrical outlet.

The unit is designed for use with table or floor lamps and includes a six-foot cord. If you decide to change the lamps in your home, the Lutron SPS-300LDH-RP can easily be disconnected from the old fixtures and hooked up to the new lighting in seconds. The unit can be preset to automatically turn on to your favorite light level. Levels can then be fine-tuned using the dimming buttons on the side. Additionally, the unit can be operated by a Lutron remote control (sold separately) and is compatible with some universal remote controls, increasing the ease and convenience of operating the unit.
