Top of Its Class
I installed one of these in the main bathroom a month or two ago. Apart from some awkwardness in wiring due to the small size of the triangular area sectioned off for use as a junction box, it wasn't too difficult to install. The result? Stunning! For the first time in any bathroom I've ever had (and there have been many!), even long showers create ZERO condensation. This bathroom was the ultimate test as it has a huge 8' x 5' wall mirror on which there is no moisture even from long hot showers on a cold morning when I didn't use the heater. But, more astounding is the extraordinary quiet of this baby. Even when I listen for it, I can barely hear it running. As for somebody's complaint that the CFLs don't last long, I can't speak to that but it wouldnt' be a big deal to me anyway since these lights dont' serve much purpose in my setup as I put in downlights above the shower and toilet and a large vanity light for the sink so having a light in the middle of the ceiling serves no real purpose. If the bulbs burn out, I'll probably leave them dead. I've bought a second one and I'm installing it over Labor Day weekend in the other bathroom.

Nice unit but goes thru lightbulbs quickly
I really like this unit. It moves a ton of air, keeps the mirror from fogging during showers. And it is very quiet. Sometimes I can't tell if it is on. However, it has been installed for about 1 year now and I have had to replace bulbs several times. It has (2) 4-way flourescent blubs in it and about every 3 months or so, one of them goes. I went to Panasonic.com to complain or even talk to support but apparently they don't care because their site has no mechanism to add product reviews, nor can you speak to a support person. So I'm leaving this review here at Westside Wholesale because this is where I bought the unit from.
Bottom line - would I buy this unit again? Yes, I would.

Quiet as a chruch mouse!
Quiet fan . Quick, effective heat source for our 8x8 bathroom. Love the night light and energy star rating. Our electrician was so impressed he is getting one for his home! (We do not miss the steam radiator we removed.)

Unbelieavably quiet, yet forceful
Just had this installed yesterday, unbelievably quiet. So much I didn't think it could work. My daughter showered and for the first time the mirror and walls weren't covered with moisture. I still can't believe how great this is. I replaced a Nu-Tone that I wasn't happy with and this unit is worth every penny. Buy it!! You will be thrilled you did!

Do you carry spare parts (bulbs) for a Panasonic model (I believe) FV11VHL2 bathroom heater/fan/light. Also, how does one install; it appears the fan is permanently mounted in the ceiling. Thanks for your response.by John R. from Sagamore Beach, MA on 06-26-2012
The light bulb on the Panasonic FV11VHL2 is located behind the white grille. The grille can be removed (uses small tension clamps for mounting), and you can get access to the bulb for replacement from below the fan (without removing from the ceiling). This unit uses 2 x 18w Compact Flourescent bulbs.

What switch / control do you use with this? Does the control have a label to indicate for what switch does what?by Robert W. on 05-13-2012
We recommend using a four-function control switch to control all functions of this combination fan. This fan can be wired to use multiple functions per switch, or your electrician can also wire it to multiple switches to control each function separately .Therefore, the switch does not come labeled.on 05-15-2012
Is it required to obtain an 4 function control switch with this fan (Panasonic FV-11VHL2)?by Emiliano C. from tennessee on 05-12-2012
No, you are not required to use a 4-function switch with this product. You're electrician can also wire it to multiple switch to control each function separately or have certain functions wired to work together.on 05-14-2012Please login or register before adding a question.
