About The SOG Knives AU-01 Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife, Black Handle - Satin Polish Finish

The Aura line was created based upon the traditional ideas of the original bowie knife, but then SOG took those ideas and expanded on them creating innovative knives such as the SOG Knives AU-01 Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife. Some of the focal points of SOG when creating the Aura line were easy carrying, weight, intuitiveness and safety. Ergonomically correct in its design the SOG Knives AU-01 Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife has a strong glass-reinforced polymer handle that has been overmolded with rubber for a non-slip grip. Wanting to keep the SOG Knives AU-01 Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife comfortable while providing maximum control SOG decided against a big clumsy crossguard, and instead adapted the blade to provide the safety needed while in use. The back of the handle of the SOG Knives AU-01 Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife also unscrews revealing a carbide sharpener for on the go sharpening. For carrying purposes as well as safety the Aura Camping Knife also includes a nylon sheath. The measurements of the SOG Knives AU-01 Aura Camping Fixed Blade Knife are: blade length 6 inches, overall length 10.95 inches, weight 8.6 ounces.
