Based upon the traditional ideas of the bowie knife the Aura line was created, but SOG expanded on the ideas of the past creating such ground-breaking knives as the SOG Knives AU-02 Aura Hunting Fixed Blade Knife. Easy carrying, intuitiveness, weight and safety were just a few of the points of emphasis when SOG was creating the Aura line. Designed to be ergonomically correct the SOG Knives AU-02 Aura Hunting Fixed Blade Knife features a sturdy glass-reinforced polymer handle with a textured rubber overmolding for a no-slip grip. Deciding against a big gawky crossguard was a great move by SOG; instead they modified the blade of the SOG Knives AU-02 Aura Hunting Fixed Blade Knife to provide the safety needed, while also providing maximum control. The SOG Knives AU-02 Aura Hunting Fixed Blade Knife also has a hidden gem, unscrew the back of the handle to reveal a carbide sharpener for anytime, anywhere sharpening. The Aura Camping knife also comes equipped with a nylon sheath for easy carrying and added safety. The dimensions of the SOG Knives AU-02 Aura Hunting Fixed Blade Knife are: blade length 5 inches, overall length 10 inches, weight 5.4 ounces.
