About The Toshiba 6MR16/840SP8 280 Lumens LED Light Bulbs, MR16 GU5.3 - 25 Watt Equivalent - Dimmable

Incandescent light bulbs are starting to become illegal in many parts of the world. LED light bulbs have started to gain real momentum as a proper replacement because the last 40 times longer and are 80% more efficient than incandescent bulbs. Because they are so much more energy efficient switching your home lighting to LED light bulbs will save you money on your energy bill. This Toshiba MR16 GU5.3 LED light bulb only requires 6.2 watts to power itself as opposed to the 25 watts it takes to power the comparable incandescent bulb. This Toshiba LED light bulb has a 280 lumens output and unlike most manufacturers the lumen output is guaranteed for 5 years. The lumen output for other manufacturer bulbs state initial lumens, not the Toshiba bulb though they back the lumen output of their bulbs with a 5 year warranty. Toshiba LED light bulbs also feature the Phillips Chip Set that provides unmatched reliability.

The great challenge with using LED lights to light your home was to create a desirable color; up to this point LED lights that have been produced for the home have generated a bright harsh white light that is not ideal for the home. This Toshiba MR16 GU5.3 LED light bulb is rated at 4000K for the color; this is the equivalent of a cool white light. Toshiba LED light bulbs are also dimmable, and the suggested dimmers that can be used with the Toshiba 6MR16/840SP8 LED light bulbs are: Lutron DV-600P, Lutron DVLV-600P, Lutron NTLV-600, Leviton 6631, Lutron NTELV-600. The transformers that will work with the Toshiba 6MR16/840SP8 LED light bulbs are: Ardee TW50, Hatch RS12-15M-LED, Hatch RS12-30M-LED, Hatch PS12-20L, and WAC EN-12100-R-AR.
