About this Product
The Vornado 783B (CR1-0076-06) air circulator fan is a 3-speed, high velocity, whole house fan capable of producing a direct, cool breeze for any room in your home or office. With modern design and efficient technology, the Vornado 783B circulator offers three speeds and a blast reaching as far as 100 feet for maximum cooling.
Not actually a fan, Vornado 783B is a compact yet effective circulator fan using cutting-edge technology to produce a powerful vortex blast for a cooler environment. Instead of blowing air, the Vornado 783B, three speed whole house fan uses innovative deep fan blades to twist airflow, producing a consistent circulating effect and balancing out hot and cold air spots.
The energy-efficient Vornado 783B fan has an adjustable height stand for customizable function. The circulator comes in modern black, has nearly silent operation and uses a cord instead of batteries

Great versatile fan!
I currently own 3 Vornado fans. The fans I own are the 783B, the 732B (shorter version of this fan) and the 660.
The 783B is the most versatile of the fans that I have. You have the option of extending the height in full or shortening it by removing the extra extension post. Build quality is excellent. Fan is made with thick, durable plastic and feels bulletproof by design. Like any Vornado, this fan will move a lot of air and keep air in the room feeling fresher and cooler.
Cons-- Expensive, quality usually is; can get noisy on highest setting; no oscillate; it's a short fan. Don't be fooled by how tall it may appear in pics, the fan comes to about waist level. A typical pedestal fan is probably about a good foot or two taller than the 783.
If I had to purchase all over again, I would have gotten 3 of these fans. The 732 is just a short version of this fan without the added extender and the 660 is just okay. For the money, the build quality on the 660 (think PS3 plastic) isn't as great as the 783 or 732 that I own. However, you can place it on surfaces like glass and wood that you cannot place my other fans on. Having the pedestal on the 783 negates that issue.
