Questions & Answers
I have a large water heater with 1" male IPT input/output connections. Now there is a copper threaded reducing bushing and 1/2" TPR valve on the output. There is also a "piece connect" fitting and attachement to whole-house humidifier.I want to upgrade and use this 1" TPR. Looks like I need a bronze union. What kind of pipe dope should be used to make the IPT to bronze connection? Do I need a dielectric union?
