Panasonic air conditioners are leading the way in ductless technology. The brand expanded into heating and air conditioning in 1983. Now, Panasonic is offering state-of-the-art mini split systems that offer innovative solutions for single or multiple rooms.

Mini-split (also known as ductless) systems allow for incredible levels of customization in the home. To set up a Panasonic mini-split system, an outdoor compressor has to be paired with one or more indoor air hander units. This provides different room set-up capabilities, depending on the type of system created.

Because room set-ups can be different, Panasonic ductless air conditioners allow for custom heating in cooling in different rooms as opposed to one whole-house setting. This creates a much more comfortable living environment that is also more energy-efficient because the air conditioning in unoccupied rooms can be shut off and less energy is being used to cool or heat certain spaces.

Panasonic’s systems allow for customization in other ways, as well. Because the indoor and outdoor units can be purchased separately, customers can tailor their systems in ways that are important to them. Meaning, mini-split systems can be created to maximize energy-efficiency, minimize up-front costs, maximize heating and cooling capabilities, and even purchase cooling only models if heating is not desirable.

Indoor units feature a wide-range of installation possibilities. This allows the customer to have a comfortable living experience in a way that respects the décor and structure of their space. Panasonic’s indoor air handlers have many installation types. The most popular ones include:

  • Wall Mounted. These models are ideal for installation in walls with enough clearance. The installation process is typically the simplest of the indoor units. Panasonic wall-mounted air conditioners are designed to be incredibly sleek so that they fit in with any indoor décor.
  • Ceiling Recessed. These cassette-style models are mounted in the ceiling. They are very space efficient, as they don’t take up wall space. Plus, they’re very unobtrusive and install flush with most ceilings, drop ceilings, and other spaces.
  • Ceiling-Type. Placed at the top of the wall in the ceiling, this style of air conditioner distributes heating and cooling around the space and is intended to prevent unpleasant drafts. These units are typically the same height and depth, providing a uniform look throughout the home.
  • Hide Away. These indoor units come in high and low static models. They provide the most hidden type of installation and have the most industrial look. They’re especially helpful in site with narrow ceiling voids.
  • And more! Panasonic also carries concealed duct models and floor or wall-mounted options. These may be the ideal type for your installation.

All of these air handlers are sold in bundles with outdoor units or can be purchased separately. Mini-split outdoor compressors feature different heating and cooling capabilities, energy-efficiency levels, operating sounds, fan speeds, and more. They also vary depending on if the customer wants a single-zone (one room) installation or multi-zone (multiple air handlers connected to one condenser).

One of the biggest benefits of these Panasonic ductless systems is that they don’t require an intensive installation process. They connect simply through refrigerant tubes and other cables that can be easily run through the walls. This also helps provide a quieter air conditioning system, as one large outdoor unit doesn’t have to run forcefully to heat or cool the whole home.
